As part of our collaborative team, we joined forces to create a compelling entry for the D&AD New Blood Awards 2023. Our project, “Be my other half,” aimed to resonate deeply with Heineken’s mission to foster inclusivity and progressive ideas through innovative design.
In an era where the voices of discord are growing louder, Heineken sought to ignite new connections and promote inclusivity. Our concept addressed a simple yet universal truth: we often find ourselves without a bottle opener when we need one. This challenge sparked our creative solution to bring people together.
Our idea was to slightly alter the bottle design, resulting in a new line of Heineken bottles that feature a unique recess and cap. These bottles can only be opened by pairing with an identical bottle, symbolizing the essence of connection and cooperation.
My contributions to this project included both participating in the ideation process and creating the 3D models of the bottle. By collaborating on the concept and meticulously designing these models, I ensured that the new design was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Our goal was to blend Heineken’s classic branding with a fresh, modern touch, embodying the spirit of inclusivity and connection. The new bottle design is a testament to how small changes can foster significant interactions, encouraging people to come together, share ideas, and move towards a more inclusive world.
Our efforts were recognized when the project won a Bronze Cone at the Art Directors Club Italia (ADCI) Awards in 2023, a testament to the creativity and impact of our work.
